Lignano Sabbiadoro

Located halfway between Venice and Trieste, since its creation in the early 1900s Lignano Sabbiadoro has always been at the forefront for its services and infrastructures, so much so to have rendered its 8 km of golden beaches one of the most beautiful locations of the upper Adriatic.

Lignano: relaxation and nature

Punta Verde Zoo Park: Lignano Riviera is an enchanted oasis rich in vegetation and crossed by rivers, streams and lakes. It is home to one of the most well-equipped zoos in Italy: here 1,200 animals from 200 different species live in large shelters and fenced-in areas made with natural materials. The park is equipped with children's playgrounds and lets you pass an interesting and fun day in contact with nature, learning more about the world around us.

Hemingway Park: In 1953, Lignano Pineta gave Ernest Hemingway a wonderful plot of land so the writer could build his own summer home here; Hemingway accepted, but then never returned to Lignano... Or rather, he returned by giving his name to a public park that was created in 1984. There are over 4,000 tall trees on its 4 acres of land, with a spontaneous, sprawling underbrush where small wild orchids can still be found. The park is crossed by an equipped fitness trail and also has a children's playground. A small amphitheatre with covered seating houses shows for kids.
